- Your baby’s weight has again almost doubled since last week and is about the size of a peach weighing 70g and about 10cm long
- By now your baby’s taste buds are formed and functioning.
- Your baby may be sucking his/her thumb. The suck reflex is one of the most important instincts a baby has because, without the suck reflex, babies cannot breastfeed or bottle feed effectively.

- Your baby’s joints move more freely this week and arms and legs continue to grow longer and stronger.
What’s happening with you
- You may experience varicose veins that form because the circulatory system is working overtime to pump the increased amount of blood through your body
- You may experience backache because of increased pressure of your growing uterus
- You may experience gingivitis-inflammation of gums.
- You may also start to notice skin darkening around inner thighs, armpits, navel and areolas.
