- Your baby is now around the size of, well, a sweet pea or about 0.65cm (a quarter of an inch
- By the 6th week of pregnancy, your baby’s heart has started beating twice as fast as yours (90 to 110 times/minute) and can often be seen early this week by trans-vaginal ultrasound.
- There are dark spots where your baby’s eyes and nostrils are starting to form and ears are marked by small depressions on the sides of the head.
- Your baby’s kidneys, liver and lungs are now in developing as well.

- Most women notice that their morning sickness, fatigue and general feelings of exhaustion might have really kicked in at this stage.
- Breast tenderness can be one of the earliest symptoms of pregnancy as increased hormone levels boost blood flow, which may make your breasts feel swollen and unusually sensitive to touch.
- If you haven’t cleaned up your diet, now is the time. Avoid all processed foods which can contain additives and chemicals that can leave you feeling sluggish, exhausted or sick and stick to healthy nutritious foods
