Key facts about your baby
- Your baby probably weighs as much as a pumpkin. He/she also measures somewhere around 3.2 and 3.4kg (7 and 7.5 pounds) and measures from 48 to 53cm (19.5 to 21.5 inches) from head to heel
- Your baby has most likely shed most of the fur like hair (Lanugo) and vernix covering his/her skin.
- There’s no much space in there as your baby is getting ready for the outside world.
- Your baby is also continuing to practice breathing movements by inhaling and exhaling amniotic fluid.
What’s happening with you
- Anxiety will most likely kick in than any other symptom and be prepared for some false alarms, especially if it is your first pregnancy.
- Less than 5 percent give birth on their due dates and this means you may still have another two weeks.
- You may still having some of the late pregnancy symptoms like constipation, bladder pressure, trouble sleeping, haemorrhoids, heartburn, varicose veins, pelvic pain, leg cramps, Braxton Hicks contractions, and swelling and you are probably just fed up at this point!
