  • There’s around a litre of amniotic fluid surrounding the baby, but this will decrease as they continue to grow into the final weeks.
  • The white, greasy substance on your baby’s skin, called ‘vernix’, and their fine fur, or ‘lanugo’, starts to disappear from now.
  •  Your baby’s five senses are now functional.

  • You are likely feeling more tired and a bit fed up as baby disrupts your sleep
  • You may be having difficulty breathing as your uterus expands into your diaphragm
  • You are also more likely to get UTIs
  • Symptoms you have been experiencing form previous weeks may persist.
  • As your skin expands to accommodate your baby, you may experience itchy skin which can be relieved by antihistamine/ointments prescribed by your doctor.
